Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger or part sausage
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 large jar Ragu spaghetti sauce
  • 1 pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked or uncooked
  • 24 oz. cottage cheese
  • 1 or 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. crushed parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. each pepper and salt
  • 1 large pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Brown meat and onions and add spaghetti sauce.

    Cover bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch lightly greased baking pan with thin layer of meat mixture.

    Cover with lasagna noodles (overlap).

    Mix cottage cheese with eggs, parsley, salt and pepper and put a layer of that mixture over the noodles and cover with Mozzarella cheese.

    Cover with more meat mixture.

    Repeat layers until pan is full.

    End with meat sauce and shredded cheese.

    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°.

    Top with more cheese and bake 5 to 10 minutes more.

    Let set 15 minutes before serving.
