  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • dash of pepper
  • 10 pieces cooked lasagna noodles

Directions

    Place ground beef in a 2-quart casserole.

    Cover with lid or waxed paper; microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes, or until pink in center.

    Stir halfway through cooking.

    Drain off all but 2 tablespoons grease.

    Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, soup mix, seasonings and sugar.

    Cover; microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes, or until boiling.

    Stir halfway through cooking. Microwave on Low for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
