  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 13 cup unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 13 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 12 teaspoon dried thyme
