  • 1 (No. 2 1/2) can sliced peaches
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar, mixed with 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Drain the peaches and save juice.

    Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch dish.

    Sift together the sugar, flour, salt and baking powder.

    Pour milk and vanilla over dry ingredients and mix.

    Put batter in pan over butter.

    Place peaches in batter.

    Pour juice over all.

    Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over peaches.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.
