- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 c. melted shortening
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. sour milk
- 1/2 c. molasses or honey
Directions

1Sift flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients.

2Stir well.

3Spoon into a buttered 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

4Let stand 20 minutes.

5Bake about 50 minutes at 375°.
