- 2 pkg. fast granular yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 6 1/2 to 7 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Soften yeast in lukewarm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.

2Scald milk; stir in 1/3 cup sugar and salt.

3Cool until lukewarm.

4(Pour milk into mixing bowl and it will cool faster.)

5Put butter in warm milk pan to melt.

6When cool, combine milk mixture and yeast mixture; combine beaten eggs.

7Add about 4 cups of the flour and beat well until smooth.

8Add butter and beat smooth.

9Beat in enough flour to make smooth elastic, but not too stiff, dough. Place in a lightly greased bowl; turn dough over.
