  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 34 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 14 cup melted butter or 14 cup margarine
  • 1 cup milk

    in large bowl measure all seven dry ingredients.

    make a well in the center.

    in small bowl beat egg till frothy.

    mix in melted butter and milk.

    stir just enough to moisten.

    scrape into greased 9x5x3 loaf pan.

    bake at 350 for 1 hour.
