  • 2 c. raisins
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 4 c. flour

Directions

    Boil raisins in 6 cups water until a cup of juice is left. Add water if 2 cups is not left.

    Cream sugar and shortening.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Bake in large, rectangular pan for 45 minutes at 350°.
