Raisin-Cinnamon Rolls

- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1In mixer bowl, combine yeast and 2 1/4 cups of the flour. Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt until warm; stir until shortening melts.

2Add to dry ingredients; add egg.

3Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping sides of bowl. Beat 3 minutes at high speed.

4Stir in enough of the remaining flour to form soft dough.

5Place in greased bowl; turn once. Cover; let rise until double, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
