- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 1 c. butter
- 3 1/2 oz. can coconut or 1 1/3 c.
- 1 c. walnuts
- 1 box seedless raisins
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Cook raisins in one cup of water for 5 minutes.

2Drain juice and reserve 1/2 cup.

3Scald the reserved juice and add the baking soda.

4Cream sugar, salt and butter together; add eggs and cream. Then mix in the flour and juice.

5Stir in coconut, walnuts and raisins.

6Bake at 350° to 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
