Raisin Juice Cake

  • 1/2 pkg. seedless raisins
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. raisin juice
  • nuts

Directions

    Just cover raisins with water and cook until plumped.

    Pour off and reserve 1/2 cup of juice.

    Cream butter and sugar well. Add unbeaten egg.

    Add flour and baking soda alternately with juice.

    Add raisins and nuts.

    Bake in shallow greased and floured pan at 325° for 55 minutes.
