- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 2/3 c. dark molasses
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. cloves
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. walnuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Melt the butter.

3When cooled slightly, stir in sugar, slightly beaten egg, molasses and vanilla.

4Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, cloves, ginger and cinnamon.

5Add raisins and walnuts to this mixture.

6Combine all ingredients until well blended.

7Pour into a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch cookie sheet and bake about 12 minutes.

8Cut into bars when cool and dust with sugar and cinnamon.
