- 1 c. raisins
- 1 1/2 c. cream or milk
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 rounded tsp. flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 baked pie shell
- Meringue
Directions

1Place the raisins in a saucepot with water to cover; stew until tender; drain.

2Add the cream, sugar, mixed with the flour, and cook for 5 minutes.

3Beat the egg yolks, stir in a little of the hot mixture, then add all together and cook until thickened; cool. Add the nuts (optional).

4Pour into baked pie shell.

5Cover with meringue and brown lightly in a moderate oven.
