- 2 c. unbleached flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2/3 c. raisins
- 5.33 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1 egg
Directions

1In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter.

2Mixture should be crumbly.

3Add raisins.

4Add evaporated milk and eggs, one at a time.

5Put on floured board and knead dough gently, 4 or 5 times. Press into 8-inch circle about 1-inch thick.

6Place on cookie sheet and cut into 8 wedges (do not separate the wedges).

7Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

8Cook until golden brown.

9Serves warm.
