- 1 1/4 c. shortening
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 3 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 box raisins
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Mix first 7 ingredients well.

2Put half of this oatmeal mixture in oblong greased pan, pat it down.

3Mix sugar and flour well.

4Add juice, water, cinnamon and raisins in saucepan.

5Cook until thick. Spread a thin amount of raisin mixture between layers of oatmeal mixture.

6Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.

7Cool, cut in squares.
