Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. shredded coconut
Directions

1Cream the shortening and sugars together.

2Add the eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.

3Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to creamed mixture.

4Mix well, then add the oatmeal, rice cereal and coconut and mix well.

5Dough will be quite crumbly.

6Mold with hands into balls the size of a walnut. Place on a cookie sheet and press slightly.

7Bake in a 350° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

8Yields 6 dozen.
