100g margarine
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Dash of vanilla extract
Boiling water
For topping:
100g high-quality chocolate (milk or dark, ad lib)

Stir in the boiling water, vanilla extract and chocolate chips then divide the mixture into two cake tins (with base lined with baking paper) and bake in the oven at 170C until a knife placed into the cake comes out clean.
