  • 1 small head cabbage (4 to 5 c.), finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. each: salt and sugar
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Directions

    Cook (or steam) cabbage about 5 minutes until tender, but crisp.

    Blend egg, vinegar, butter, sugar, salt and pepper.

    Cook over low heat, until thick, about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool slightly.

    Add sour cream and pour over cabbage.

    Toss well to coat.

    Serve warm or chilled.
