- 1/2 lb. ham, diced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. chopped celery
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 (15 to 16 oz.) cans small red kidney beans
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. crushed chilies
- 2 c. water
- 2 c. cooked rice
Directions

1Saute ham, onion and celery in oil until onion is tender in medium saucepan.

2Add remaining ingredients except rice; bring to boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.

4Serve over cooked rice. Makes 6 servings.
