  • 1 Head of Red Cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tblspn butter or olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots peeled and shredded
  • 1 can of Beef Broth
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 tbplsns red wine vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons dried cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tblspns whiskey

Directions

    Saute Onion in a Large pot, over medium high heat until translucent. Add all of the ingredients and bring to t a boil. Reduce heat to low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper and 3 Tblspns whiskey.
