- 1 Head of Red Cabbage, chopped
- 2 tblspn butter or olive oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 carrots peeled and shredded
- 1 can of Beef Broth
- 1 cup of red wine
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped
- 2 tbplsns red wine vinegar
- 3 teaspoons dried cloves
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tblspns whiskey
Directions

1Saute Onion in a Large pot, over medium high heat until translucent. Add all of the ingredients and bring to t a boil. Reduce heat to low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper and 3 Tblspns whiskey.
