- 1 lb beet, cooked (about 6 medium beets)
- 1 lb potato, cooked (about 4 medium potatoes)
- 12 lb beef, cooked and chopped
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon cream
Directions

1Chop beets and potatoes, mix with the chopped beef and season to taste.

2Place two tablespoons of the butter in a heavy frying pan.

3Add mixture and moisten with a little hot water.

4Cover and cook slowly until meat is cooked and browned.

5When nearly ready to serve, add cream and remaining butter.

6Brown quickly and serve.
