  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced large
  • 1 yellow onion, diced large
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mixed Italian herbs
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

    Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic; saute until the bell pepper softens, 5 to 7 minutes.
