  • 1/2 gal. ripe tomatoes
  • 1 small pod red hot pepper
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • pickling spices to taste
  • plain salt to taste

Directions

    Peel and chop tomatoes and hot pepper.

    Mix in other ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Cook for 10 minutes or until tomatoes are done.

    Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
