- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 oz. red food coloring
Directions

1Cream oil, sugar and eggs.

2Sift flour and salt and add alternately with buttermilk.

3Add soda and vanilla.

4Add red food coloring, mixing well.

5Bake in three 8-inch pans at 350° for 30 minutes.

6Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
