Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed

Directions

    Shred cabbage, cover with water and salt.

    Let sit at least 1 hour.

    Bring remaining ingredients to boil for 1 minute.

    Let cool. Drain water from cabbage (squeeze out if necessary).

    Pour other ingredients over cabbage and store in tightly sealed container.

    (I use more vinegar for my taste.

    The recipe is a little too sweet, so adjust to your taste.)
