  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 4 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at at time, beating well after each addition.

    Sift together all dry ingredients.

    Add dry ingredients and nuts to cream mixture. Shape dough into rolls and wrap in waxed paper.

    Chill in refrigerator until firm enough to slice. Slice 1/2 inch thick.

    Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350°. Yield:
