  • 2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 egg, beaten lightly
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour (bread flour works well)

    Put into refrigerator for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

    Because it's made without milk, it will keep for up to 5 days.

    Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned at 400°.

    Makes about 3 dozen rolls.
