- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2Cream shortening and sugar; add egg, 2 cups warm water, salt and softened yeast.

3Add flour; mix well.

4Place in a large greased bowl, turning to grease top.

5Cover; refrigerate dough.

6When ready to use, shape rolls and put on a greased cookie sheet.

7Let rise about 3 hours; bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.

8Yield: 4 to 5 dozen rolls.
