Ingredients

  • 2 yeast cakes, in 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. sugar or substitute
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. salt or substitute
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Beat eggs, salt and flour (put all in together).

    Store in refrigerator at least 2 hours.

    Best for 24 hours.

    Take out and pinch off and let rise until double in size.

    Bake at 400° until done.
