  • 1 c. solid shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 6 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

    Blend. Add beaten eggs.

    Sprinkle yeast in warm water and stir until dissolved.

    Combine with egg mixture.

    Add flour and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

    When ready to bake, roll out and place on greased pan.

    Let rise until double.

    Bake at 425° until brown.
