  • 2 packs yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 c. plain flour

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Cream sugar, shortening and salt.

    Pour in the hot water and stir well.

    Cool mixture to lukewarm.

    Add yeast and eggs and then flour, one cup at a time. Refrigerate for at least two hours.

    Take out and shape rolls, letting rise 2 hours before baking in a 450° oven for about 12 minutes.
