- 1 cake compressed yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 7 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. lukewarm water
Directions

1Crumble yeast into large mixing bowl.

2Add sugar, salt and water.

3Add well beaten egg.

4Sift flour once before measuring. Add 1/2 flour and beat well.

5Add melted shortening and mix in rest of flour.

6Let rise to double its bulk.

7Punch down, cover tightly and place in fridge.

8About 1 hour before baking, remove amount of dough desired.

9Shape into small rolls and place on greased pan.

10Preheat oven to 425°.

11Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
