Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water or milk
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 1/2 c. plain flour

Directions

    Mix first four ingredients.

    Cool to lukewarm.

    Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.

    Combine mixtures and eggs.

    Add 4 cups flour.

    Beat thoroughly and then add rest of the flour.

    Do not knead! Cover and put into fridge overnight. Pinch into small rolls.

    Place in greased pans.

    Let rise in a warm place about an hour or until double in bulk.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 400°.
