- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 c. plain flour
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast in 1/4 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar; set aside.

2Mix 1/3 cup sugar, 1 cup warm water, egg, Crisco and salt. Add 1/4 cup water and 1 teaspoon sugar.

3Knead and put in large mixing bowl.

4Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

5Mash down and store in refrigerator, about 2 hours before using.

6Roll out on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter.

7Brush rolls with butter.

8Bake at 350° to 400° until done.
