Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar (1/2 to 3/4 ) depending on how sweet you like them
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water (not hot)
- 6 c. unsifted flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

2Blend and cool.

3Add eggs.

4Let yeast stand in warm water for 5 minutes, then stir and add to mixture.

5Add flour.

6Blend well.

7Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

8Dough will keep for several days.

9If frozen, about 3 hours before using, roll into shapes as desired, using enough flour to make them easy to handle. Place in greased pans and allow to rise in room of moderate temperature until double original size.

10If not frozen, 2 hours before using.

11Bake at 350° or 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
