Refrigerator Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 pt. water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. Crisco oil
  • 4 c. sifted plain flour (about)

Directions

    Melt yeast in half water heated to tepid.

    Mix all ingredients, except flour.

    Gradually mix in flour until mixture sticks together to form ball.

    Turn out on floured board; knead only 3 to 4 times.

    Place in lightly greased bowl.

    Cover with white cloth; let rise 2 hours.

    Punch down.

    Place cover on dish. Refrigerate and pinch off as needed.

    Put in desired shape. Let rise again.

    Bake at 450° until brown.
