Ingredients

  • 4 c. ground cabbage
  • 4 c. ground onions
  • 4 c. ground green tomatoes
  • 6 hot green peppers
  • 12 sweet peppers (red preferred)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp. ground mustard seed
  • 4 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. water

Directions

    Grind vegetables; sprinkle with 1/2 cup salt.

    Let stand at least 4 hours.

    Rinse and drain; then add the remaining ingredients to the ground vegetable mixture.

    Simmer about 10 minutes.

    Put in jars and seal.
