- 1 qt. Kosher dills, drained and sliced about 3/4-inch thick or less
- 2 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. whole pickle spices
Directions

1Boil together all ingredients except pickles for 3 to 5 minutes.

2Add pickles to hot mixture.

3Return to jar and let stand 2 weeks in refrigerator.

4When pickles are gone, drain a can of sliced beets and put into jar.

5This makes very good pickled beets.
