  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c. rye bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. onions, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 (8 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (12 oz.) can corned beef, flaked
  • 4 oz. Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust (unbaked)

Directions

    Blend together the egg, milk, bread crumbs, onions, salt, pepper and mustard.

    Add sauerkraut, ground beef and corned beef; mix well.

    Place half of meat mixture into shell; sprinkle half the cheese on top.

    Add rest of the meat mix and cheese to pie shell.

    Bake in preheated 400° oven for 30 minutes, or until crust is browned.
