- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. fine egg noodles
- 1 c. butter or less
- 2 c. white rice (instant)
- 3 c. chicken stock
- 1 tsp. salt
- fried almonds (optional)
- chives (optional)
Directions

1Saute onion and noodles in 1/2 cup butter.

2Add rice and brown lightly.

3Add remaining 1/2 cup butter, stock and salt to rice in pan.

4Bring to a boil and reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Garnish with chives and almonds.
