  • 1 1/2 c. long grain rice
  • 2 1/3 c. water
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
  • 1 (1.25 oz.) envelope onion soup mix or herb and garlic
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a lightly greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish, stirring well.

    Cover tightly and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
