  • 1/3 pkg. egg noodles (any size)
  • 1 Tbsp. Crisco or oil
  • 1 c. rice
  • 2 1/2 c. chicken broth or bouillon
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Brown the egg noodles in the Crisco in a heavy-gauge saucepan over low heat.

    Add the rice, chicken broth and butter.

    Bring to a boil.

    Stir until butter is melted.

    Turn heat to low.

    Cover with a lid.

    Cook about 20 minutes or until rice is tender.

    Add salt as needed.
