  • 1/2 c. rice
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. raisins

    Cook rice and milk in double boiler until rice is done.

    Beat eggs and sugar.

    Add milk, butter and vanilla.

    Add raisins.

    Pour into serving bowl. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Set bowl in pan of water.

    Bake at 325° for 40 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
