  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2/3 c. rice
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • raisins (if desired)
  • nuts (if desired)

Directions

    Cook rice and water in butter for 20 minutes, covered.

    Stir occasionally.

    Beat 4 eggs.

    Add milk, sugar and vanilla.

    Add raisins and nuts.

    Place in a buttered dish.

    Bake at 350° for one hour or until knife comes out clean.
