- 1/4 c. rice
- 4 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. additional milk
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
Directions

1In the top of a double boiler, cook rice, 4 cups milk and salt for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

2Combine additional milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl.

3When rice is cooked, blend with egg mixture.

4Pour into a greased 7 x 11-inch ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

5Set dish into a baking pan with hot water. Bake 50 to 55 minutes at 350°.
