- 1 qt. low-fat milk
- 1 c. dry rice
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. raisins or other dried fruit
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. butter (may omit)
Directions

1Combine milk, rice, vanilla, sugar and raisins in a deep ovenproof dish.

2Sprinkle on nutmeg, dot with butter.

3Bake at 250° for 2 to 3 hours.

4Stir once or twice in the first hour, once at the last 2 hours.
