- 1 qt. half and half
- 1 qt. water
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. raisins or dried cherries
Directions

1Combine half and half, water, sugar, rice, oleo and salt in large saucepan and bring to a boil.

2Simmer, stirring frequently, for 40 minutes or more.

3Add raisins.

4Remove from heat.

5Beat eggs with enough water to make 1 cup.

6Add to rice mixture, beating in quickly with a spoon.

7Add vanilla.

8Return to stove and bring to a boil.

9Refrigerate.
