  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. golden raisins
  • dash of salt
  • cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 green apple, grated
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 stick butter

Directions

    Parboil rice.

    Drain.

    Add sugar, salt, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly.

    Add raisins.

    Add milk.

    Mix again.

    Add apple. Beat eggs until light and pour over top; blend.

    Melt butter in bottom of casserole.

    Pour rice mixture into casserole.

    Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
