- 1 c. rice
- 1 can tomato puree
- 1/2 c. green olives
- salt and pepper
- 2 tsp. chile powder
- 2 c. cooked meat or chicken, minced
- 2 c. meat gravy or broth
Directions

1Trim off all fat from lean beef flank steak or brisket.

2Cut lengthwise with grain into long thin strips, 1/4-inch thick. Combine 1/2 cup soy sauce with 1/4 teaspoon each garlic salt and lemon pepper.

3Pour over strips and toss until well coated.

4Place wire rack on a baking sheet.

5Arrange strips on rack to touch, but not overlap.

6Bake in a very slow oven (150° to 175°) overnight, 10 to 12 hours.

7Store finished jerky at room temperature in an airtight container.

8If all fat has been removed, beef jerky will keep indefinitely.
