  • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded then cooled
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 7 to 71/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. softened margarine

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

    Stir in milk, sugar, salt, eggs, margarine and 3 1/2 cup flour.

    Beat until smooth.

    Mix in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.

    Turn onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.

    Place in greased bowl; turn greased side up.

    Cover; let rise in warm place until double, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
